The transcriptions included here are based on reharmonizations of standards tunes, blues and rhythm changes… with two tenor solos along with the others on soprano sax. The selection covers the years 1979-1994. Also included are notes about the main musical devices used, examples of detailed articulation and phrase marking, as well as the actuals recordings.
Un Livre de transcriptions doit jouer le rôle d’un dictionnaire ou d’une encyclopédie mais les usages que vous pouvez en faire dépendent de votre propre imagination … Il est exceptionnel de joindre un enregistrement à un livre de transcriptions (celui-ci ne contient que des solos) mais je pense que cela en augmente la valeur car vous pouvez directement suivre avec la musique écrite.
